Hello everyone, I am sorry that it has been several weeks
since my last post and video, but we lost my brother a few weeks back and it has been
hard for me to get back to “work”.
As you have come to know about me, I love my sparkle and
shimmer and this card is no exception and I am going to show you how you can
make a shimmering background from scratch using a water color brush, metallic
wax paste and an embossing folder. I
will list all the supplies that I used below.

Here is what you will need to recreate this card:
4 ¾” square piece of medium weight white cardstock
5” square piece of silver glitter card stock for matting the
background layer
5 ½” square pieces of matte blue shimmer cardstock
5 ½” x ¾” strip of the matte blue shimmer cardstock
5” x 1” strip of the silver glitter cardstock
6” x 12” piece of heavy weight white cardstock, scored and
folded at 6” for your card base
Water color paper to die cut your trees from
Large and Small Winter Tree Stamps & Dies by Chloe from
Crafter’s Companion
Sparkling Snowflake 3D Embossing Folder from Crafter’s
Companion
A sentiment of your choice die cut from silver mirror
cardstock; I used Festive Words 1 from Crafter’s Companion for my sentiment
A die cutting machine for cutting your trees and embossing
the folder
Liquid glue or tape runner, embellishment glue of your
choice and some 3D foam squares
Versamark, silver embossing powder and an anti-static pouch
Heat gun tool
Acrylic block or a stamping platform
Embellishments of your choice; I used two star embellishment
and three crystal jewels. If you do not
have star-shaped embellishments, you could cut star shapes out of silver mirror
card instead.
